Online Student Presentations Workshop

January 19, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

An issue we observed from the Fall semester was troubleshooting online student presentations. There are different ways a student can complete a video presentation, or narrated slide presentation, for an online class.  Some instructor dictated how things were to be done, some left it up to the students.  This workshop walks instructors through the options students most frequently used, what is and is not available to both instructors and students, and some basic troubleshooting tips to help make the process easier for the upcoming semester.

This meeting is led by Mark Ferguson and will be held virtually through Microsoft Teams. The meeting link will be sent to you in an email after you have registered for the event. Those who use their USM email address during registration will also receive an invite reminder the day of the meeting.  If you have any questions, please email mark.ferguson@usm.edu.

The workshop includes a support module that may be placed into one or your classes for you to use this semester.  This module was created by the Office of Online Learning and designed with students in mind.  If you would like this module placed into one of your upcoming spring courses, please attend the workshop and state your need at the end of the session.
